According to the latest report by the Islamic World Science and Technology Citation and Monitoring Institute (ISC), Tarbiat Modares University ranks second among the comprehensive universities in the country.

Tarbiat Modares University won the title of the best university in the field of international student recruitment and the best international administration in the first international student recruitment festival.

The IEEE Student Branch of Tarbiat Modares University in 2021 won the title of the best student branch in Iran.

Dr. Mohammad Hosseinpour Gholami, professor of the Physiology department, Medical Sciences faculty, received the most valuable award of the 25th National Congress and the 4th international congress of Physiology and Pharmacology, namely the "Professor Fereshteh Motamedi" award (October 2021).

On the occasion of World Maritime Day (October 12), Dr. Alireza Riahi Bakhtiari, academic member of the Natural Resources and Marine Sciences faculty, was honored as an exemplary marine researcher for conducting investigations and research projects in the field of marine pollution and publishing scientific research articles in this field.

Coinciding with the 59th anniversary of the founding of the Alborz Cultural Foundation (September 10), the Alborz National Prize was awarded to 59 elites of the country, including Mostafa Baranchi, a doctoral student in Exercise Physiology at Tarbiat Modares University (in the non-medical students section).

Based on the results of evaluating the activities of the country's medical universities in the field of research and technology in 2020, TMU's Medical Sciences faculty ranked third among type two universities in the "knowledge production axis".
