Based on the latest results of Leiden Ranking for ۲۰۱۸، TMU with a ranking of ۴۰۴ managed to boost its position in this world prestigious ranking index.
According to the acting director of ISC (Islamic World Science Citation) a total number of ۲۳ universities of Iran were listed among the ۹۳۸ top universities of the world. Iran’ s share in last year’ s ranking was ۱۸، a fact which shows increasing progress and better performance.
TMU ranking in ۲۰۱۷ and ۲۰۱۶ were ۴۰۸ and ۴۱۲ respectively and this year’ s ranking of ۴۰۴ clearly indicates TMU officials’ determination to conquer better positions each year.
Leiden ranking data are based on Thomson Citation Database and Reuters Web of Science (ISI), it takes a multidimensional perspective and bases its ranking on impact or collaboration indicator. This website uses core publications which includes ۷۵٪ of top ISI Journals. The quantity of science generation is assessed on ۱.۱۰ and ۵۰ percent of top citations or their impact factors.
It should be noted that in Leiden Ranking of ۲۰۱۸، there were ۲۳ universities from Iran, ۱۹ universities from Turkey, ۵ universities from Malaysia and ۴ universities from Saudi Arabia.
