The twelfth international festival «Harakat» was held on August ۱۱ in the presence of the Minister of Science. This year «s festival involved not only the cultural but also the scientific part of the universities. International Student Festival of HARKAT is the largest student event in Iran. The festival is organized by Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of Iran and hosted by different universities since ۲۰۰۸. The concept of the festival is to gather students from different parts of the world in a combination of a festival and an exhibition. The festival aims at encouraging student projects and activities, fostering inspiration and being a starting point for international cooperation amongst students. The festival is open for students from all over the world and is a meeting platform for young people with different scientific and cultural backgrounds. It is a place where young people get to know each other, establish new friendships and discuss various topics, from different points of view.
The last year ۸۵ students from ۵۴ different countries and ۳۰۰ students from Iran participated in the festival, which was hosted by University of Isfahan. This festival is a place to experience unforgettable moments, meet new friends and learn about different cultures in an interesting and unique way. ۱.۵۴۸ scientific works were sent to the festival secretariat, which was judged by ۲۵۰ universities» faculty members. ۱۰۰ universities participated in this festival and ۳۰.۰۰۰ works were registered in the international section, which have been sent from ۱۲۷ countries. In this time, Tarbiat Modares University, while winning ۴ awards in the student section, was introduced as the «chosen» university in the section of country «s scientific-student associations for the second time in a row.
In this festival, the scientific-student associations of Power and Computer, Sociology, Environment and French language were selected as the "Chosen" and "Meritorious" scientific-student associations of the country. In the twelfth edition of the "Harkat" festival, music performance and stage design in this festival were done by two student groups from Tarbiat Modares University.
TMU had also previously won the title of "Meritorious University" in the section of activities of the country» s scientific-student associations in ۲۰۱۶ and 2017.
