Design and construction of a brain electrical stimulation device (tDCS) compatible with MRI at TMU
The simulator systems laboratory of the TMU electrical and computer sciences faculty under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Reza Momeni and Dr. Mohammad Rostami succeed to design and build a brain electrical stimulation device (tDCS) compatible with MRI, for the first time in Iran.

Current brain electrical stimulation devices did not have the ability to use simultaneously in the MRI machine, which caused an interruption in cognitive science research that needed simultaneous electrical stimulation of the brain and imaging.
Through designing and constructing this new device, progress will be seen in neuroscience research in the country, especially meta-cognitive science.
Via designing and developing in Tarbiat Modares University, Iran is recognized as the fourth country in the world in designing and manufacturing modern equipment in MRI-compatible cognitive science research.
