Based on the rankings released by USNEWS ranking website, TMU managed to obtain the world position of ۸۰۶. Referring the latest ranking of world universities for ۲۰۱۸، the director of ISC Database said that ۱۴ Iranian universities are in the list of top world universities, whereas in the last year ranking, there were only ۱۱ universities.
The USNEWS Ranking Website uses the following indicators and weights to evaluate the universities all over the world. These indicators include: global research reputation, regional research reputation, publications, books, conferences, normalized citation impact, total citations, number of publications that are among the ۱۰ percent most cited, percentage of total publications that are among the ۱۰ percent most cited, international collaboration, percentage of total publications with international collaboration, number of highly cited papers that are among the top ۱ percent most cited in their respective field, percentage of total publications that are among the top ۱ percent most highly cited papers.
