Introductory Russian Language Course Held at Tarbiat Modares University for Students Preparing to Enter Russian Medical Universities
As part of the collaboration between the Russkiy Mir Foundation Office at Tarbiat Modares University and the university?s Open Campus, an introductory Russian language course was held for students planning to pursue medical studies in Russia. The course aimed to prepare students for academic success and effective communication in Russian, particularly in the medical field.

The three-month program featured daily six-hour sessions, focusing primarily on practical exercises to develop reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Instruction was provided by experienced Russian language professors from Tarbiat Modares University, utilizing modern teaching methods and materials.
At the end of the course, a final assessment was conducted, revealing that over 90% of the students had achieved the A1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This preparatory course was a crucial step in equipping students for their future studies in medical institutions, where Russian proficiency is essential for interacting with patients and colleagues.
During the certificate-awarding ceremony, the campus director, Ali Bakui, addressed the students in Russian and expressed his satisfaction with their language proficiency.
It is worth noting that, according to estimates, over 10,000 Iranian students are currently studying in Russian universities, primarily in medical fields. Lack of Russian language proficiency remains one of the main obstacles they face in mastering specialized subjects. Beginning language training in Iran before starting their specialized studies is one of the key proposed solutions to this challenge. This approach not only reduces costs but also significantly enhances students' academic performance.
