39 universities from Iran are included in the 2020 thematic ranking of the Science and Technology Citation Institute (ISC).

Coinciding with the 59th anniversary of the founding of the Alborz Cultural Foundation (September 10), the Alborz National Prize was awarded to 59 elites of the country, including Mostafa Baranchi, a doctoral student in Exercise Physiology at Tarbiat Modares University (in the non-medical students section).

Based on the results of evaluating the activities of the country's medical universities in the field of research and technology in 2020, TMU's Medical Sciences faculty ranked third among type two universities in the "knowledge production axis".

The first round of the TMU's Flag Conquest tournament (September 8-10) was held online with 500 teams from 50 countries.

"WaPOR Hackathon" was held for the first time to pursue the application of WaPOR data in the MENA region.

Researchers at Tarbiat Modares University have taken a step towards eliminating contaminants in water and soil resources by providing a simple and inexpensive way to build a nano-structured compound. By injecting the produced nano-structure into the soil environment, they were able to reduce the mobility of metal contaminants and release them into the environment, making it possible to use the contaminated site for agricultural use.

Bottle caps are not biodegradable and remain in nature for centuries. Therefore, by collecting these caps, it is possible to help preserve the environment and to buy wheelchairs for the needy disabled with the proceeds from its sale to recycling manufacturers.
