TMU's researchers at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering managed to design and develop a haptic robot (with 6 degrees of freedom and workspace optimization) for use in Craniotomy Surgery.

TMU is one of the sponsors of International Conference on Cinema in the Digital Age which will be held at the National Library of Iran Conferences Center from 21 to 23 November.

Amir Kabir University of Technology and Iranian FIRA National Committee will hold the Robotic and Artificial Intelligence Competitions (IRAN FIRA Open Competition) in collaboration with the International Federation of Robot Sports Association (FIRA) in March 2019.

Tehran Innovation Network, with the support of the Presidential Deputy for Science and Technology intends to offer the first Empowerment Program consisting of assessment, self-knowledge counseling, career counseling (vocational psychology), 40-hour workshop, specialized and vocational seminars, professional video-based resume writing, visit from Innovation and Technology Ecosystems and Knowledge Based Companies, and some other programs.

In line with the strategic development plan of the university and its central library program entitled "creation of an integrated system for accessing and searching scientific databases” TMU’s launched an experimental version of its Search System called "Parse System". This system enables researchers at home and abroad to access, view and receive theses / dissertations of the university (in accordance with the regulations and approved by-laws.)

At the joint meeting with the scientific and cultural attaché of the Embassy of Pakistan in Iran with the directors of TMU’s International Unit and its International Scientific Cooperation Office, which was held on 12th of September, two sides stressed the need to expand scientific cooperation by enhancing the exchange of researchers.

The Faculty of Natural Resources and Marine Sciences attended the State Universities Union of Caspian Littoral Countries hosted by Kazakhstan.

TMU s chancellor announced the establishment of an area of science and technology in the vicinity of the university at the ceremony held for the introduction of new directors of the Science and Technology Park on 2nd of October.

At the 19th Telecom International Exhibition, a remote surgical robot, developed by TMU's researchers in association with the Mobile Communications Company of Iran was unveiled.

Fatemeh Zahra Ahmadi, a Ph.D. graduate from TMU, received the Maternal Health Visionary Award from Harvard Medical School.
