Nano and Micro technologies are among the top technological priorities in “Iran’s Scientific Master Plan”. One of the methods used for the improvement of materials properties depends on the creation of a hard nano-crystalline surface film with a favorable stress profile as well a smooth hardness gradient.

On Thursday, November 23, Scientro with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship spirit was held at Jaber Ibn Hayan Auditorium of TMU.

Based on the rankings released by USNEWS ranking website, TMU managed to obtain the world position of 806. Referring the latest ranking of world universities for 2018, the director of ISC Database said that 14 Iranian universities are in the list of top world universities, whereas in the last year ranking, there were only 11 universities.

The deputy of academic affairs of the ministry released the final ranking for Iranian universities and institutes of higher education. According to the results which are based on the survey conducted for more than 120 state universities / higher education institutions, TMU is among the first grade comprehensive universities of Iran having high international standards and with a mission to expand science and technology and remove national challenges at domestic level.

In order to pave the way and create the potentials for new fields of study, Dr. Ahmadi, announced that for the first time in Iran, TMU intends to establish a separate faculty for Sciences and Interdisciplinary Technologies.

Tarbiat Modares University`s International Center for Persian Education is offering two educational courses for those interested in Persian language. Valid academic certifications will be issued for those who pass these courses successfully

The Center for Nano Technology Labs Network introduced the best member nano-technology labs of 2016.

TMU President appointed Dr. Mojtaba Rafieyan as the dean of Art and Architecture Faculty. In his appointment order, Dr. Ahmadi, the chancellor of TMU has praised Dr. Rafieyan and has wished him good luck and success in his new responsibility.

Dr. Ali Iranmanesh, a faculty member of the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences of TMU, was elected as one of the two vice-presidents of International Academy of Mathematical Chemistry.
